Bruce King is an activist, advocate, and public speaker who covers a host of issues both around the state of Maine as well as nationally. As a formerly incarcerated Mexican-American who has worked in various capacities serving disadvantaged and underserved communities the topics that he covers have included but are not limited to the building of communities, prison reform, race issues and relations, substance use and Recovery, psychedelics and restorative justice, as well as an array of others.

He serves on multiple boards and development committees and serves as a commissioner on Maine's Permanent Commission on the Status of Racial, Indigenous and Tribal Populations. He only recently left his position as executive director of Maine inside out, an organization that uses art to build a world where everyone matters and belongs.

He currently resides in Brunswick where he lives with his two young daughters.
