Sarah Speare is the CEO/CoFounder of Tootie’s Tempeh, a Biddeford-based producer that makes the most sustainable and delicious tempeh in the US. She has spent her career starting and leading non-profits and starting and leading consumer food companies. Her previous food company, where she was a co-founder and SVP of Marketing, achieved distribution in 10,000 stores and sold to a larger player. She has led an educational non-profit, helped start two arts non-profits, and was the first Executive Director of a design association. Prior to that she worked at the National Endowment for the Arts and had her own graphic design practice in Cambridge, MA. A graduate of Tufts University and the Museum School with an arts management certificate from Radcliffe College, Sarah is a passionate vegan, forager, and poet.
