Spero Latchis is a Professional Homeopath and Certified Soil Health Consultant with Dr. Elaine Ingham’s Soil Food Web School. He came to soil regeneration work via the route of natural medicine and believes that healing the soil microbiome is the most important first step that must be taken toward the healing of all life on this planet. 

 

While operating a free homeopathic clinic for nine years in Himalayan India, Spero leased two acres of unproductive farmland, and struggled to grow vegetables in heavily compacted clay soil. The 12 ft of rain that fell every summer made the situation even more challenging.  After studying the work of Dr. Elaine Ingham, he learned how to turn the monsoon-soaked clay into fertile soil. In 2017 he moved to Maine and founded the non-profit Living Soil Network. In 2022 he began making ecologically complete commercial compost with the new Living Soil Company, and today consults on soil regeneration projects, large and small, in the Northeastern US.
