Katie grew up in Saco, Maine enjoying the outdoors. Katie has a passion for mushrooms that brought her to work at Northspore in early 2023. She has participated in various fiber arts for over 25 years giving her a broad appreciation for all steps of the process. Through her passions she began experimenting with natural dyes, finally bringing her to experience an entire rainbow of dyes made from mushrooms!
