LENNY RICHARDS

Lenny Richards is a native of Maine. In 1998   he enlisted in the United States Army as an Infantryman.  Until 2001 he was stationed at Fort Campbell, KY as a member of B co 2 -502 Strike Force.  Lenny went from active duty to Maine Army National Guard and deployed to Mosul with 133rd Engineer Battalion from 2004-2005. He deployed again from 2007 to 2008 with the 488th MP Company to Al Anbar Province.

Lenny continued his service in Louisiana in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. He also performed over 225 funerals as a member of the Maine Military Honor Guard. After Lenny left the guard, he continued his career by working for the Department of Veteran Affairs in several capacities including time in Boston assisting others in the aftermath of the marathon bombing.

Lenny found plant medicine on his own and realized this path could bring him back to his authentic self. As he sees the potential in this for veterans with severe PTSD and many other trauma related issues, he is dedicating his time by telling his powerful story and holding space to those who need it.

Lenny is a co-founder of Veteran's Psychedelic Network and envisions this organization growing as a non-profit by providing community support, education and networking to veterans and their families everywhere.  He medically retired from the VA in 2022.  He is married with 3 sons, a stepson, and a stepdaughter.
