CLEANSING THE DOORS OF PERCEPTION

This year marks the 70th anniversary of Aldous Huxley's The Doors of Perception, his groundbreaking endorsement of psychedelic experience. First published in 1954, the book is as relevant today as it was then, offering prescient insights into why and how psychedelic substances trigger necessary expansions of consciousness.  In this entertaining talk, Professor Dana Sawyer explains why Huxley believed these upgrades in consciousness are valuable for both the individual and society, and why our undeveloped human potentialities are our planet's greatest unused natural resource.  The time is right to celebrate this early and important psychonaut whose impact has been so extraordinary.
