JESS RUBIN

 

Jess Rubin (she/her, they. we) is a restoration ecologist, dedicated to interspecies collaboration and reconciliation. As a Kohenet in unceded Abenaki Territory, Jess facilitates ecological resilience service Mycoevolve (and community branch Mycolab) offering earthworks, education, and research on local farms and in urban wilds. She serves on the leadership team of Vermont’s Fungal Scientific Advisory Group (FSAG), which aims to elevate fungi's critical role in natural communities through documentation and outreach. Her training stems from observing trophic relationships while tending earth and earning herbalism, nature awareness, outdoor education, permaculture and mycology certificates, a BA from Cornell University in Ecological Literature with Native American Studies minor, Masters of Environmental Studies with science teaching licenses from Antioch NE, and MS with an Ecological Landscape Design concentration from UVM. She thanks her ancestors, mentors, and collaborators.
