CANCER, HERBS AND MUSHROOMS

For years I have avoided having (much less sharing) strong opinions about cancer. One good reason is that the origins and development of cancers, tumors, and metastases has not really been known until the last twenty-five years. Now we know much more about how the immune system surveys all cells constantly, picks out the mutations, and destroys them, also how the extracellular matrix constantly attempts to corral and choke off metastases.  

At the same time, our knowledge and experience of herbs and mushrooms to be used for cancer have been growing. In this class I will describe a few solid herbal remedies with proven tack records here: red clover, sesame seed, poke root, and herb Robert. To this we would add the mushrooms, chaga, turkey tail, and others. I am not experienced with fungi and cancer—except for chaga—so I am hoping discussion with the audience.
