WILD EDIBLES WALKING TOUR

Zach Rouda

Plants provide food, medicine, useful materials for tools, supplies and more. Humans have cultivated healthy relationships with wild plants for hundreds of thousands of years outside the realm of industrial civilization.

Join us for a walking tour of wild edible and medicinal plants and mushrooms. Learn the basics of plant and mushroom identification, and familiarize yourself with several common species. We'll meet outside the McGoldrick Center and walk a short loop around the USM campus. You may want to bring a notepad or camera. Tasty free samples from foraged ingredients will be provided.
